Our democracy is still young, and the world is watching to see if it can survive. I'm concerned that too many Americans take it for granted. A healthy democracy requires an engaged electorate that has access to accurate information so they can elect representatives that will defend and uphold our democracy. We must find ways to overcome the rhetoric and disinformation that divides us and exhausts us. We need a new starting point. The Election Pledge is a good way to get us back to a common goal that can unite us: saving our democratic republic.
