Free and fair elections and the peaceful transition of power are the core principles of a functioning democracy. If people don’t think they can trust the results of our elections or are fearful of violence by the losing party, then America will fall to authoritarianism. We must ensure that all of our citizens have easy access to the ballot and that our enemies do not interfere in our election by either hacking or spreading disinformation.
