Regardless of one's political position or affiliation, improperly challenging election results undermines the people's trust in popular government and acts as a catalyst for violent extrajudicial acts. I cannot think of anything more dangerous to the integrity of our Democratic Republic, than challenging elections based on allegations of organized voter fraud. These sorts of allegations create an environment of hate and distrust which make violence more likely. Just review January 6th, 2021 for perspective. We must have free and fair elections. Those who challenge elections simply because their party did not win are a threat to the security of our nation. All Idahoans must be united in demanding safe, free, and fair elections.
